Don’t make any serious decisions immediately after birth: Taking on to many tasks at work or making major decisions, such as moving, can cause additional stress in the woman’s life.
Don’t try to do everything: A woman should reach out to her partner, family and friends for help. She should also remember to rest as much as possible, drink plenty of fluids and eat a well-balanced diet. Women should remember to rest when the baby rests, and eat small snacks throughout the day.
Don’t become isolated: It is crucial for women to express their feelings and stay connected with the other people in their lives during this time. If a woman does not have a strong support system, she can join online and local support groups.
A woman should seek help for postnatal depression as early as possible, so she can start enjoying life with her new baby.
